A Story from a Morgue in Buraydah (a city between Madinah and Riyadh)
The dead body of a youth during the prime of his age was brought to us and it appeared as though he had the darkness of sin upon his face. After I completed washing his body, I noticed that something strange was coming out of his ear. It wasn't blood, but rather something that looked like pus and it was coming out at a rapid pace. This scared me as I had never seen anything like this in my life. I waited five minutes…ten…fifteen…and it wouldn't stop. Normally if anything would come out of the brain, it wouldn't take more than ten minutes before stopping, but I knew that this was from the ability of the Almighty, the Most High. After we had lost hope in the pus stopping, we shrouded him and the pus did not stop until we placed him in his grave.
Without any delay, I began to ask his close relatives about what made this young man reach this state. They said that he would listen to music all day and night, and when people would give him cassettes of the Qur'an or lectures, he would record music over those cassettes. We seek Allah's refuge from such a state.
May Allah make the endings to our lives good, and may He enter us into Paradise with the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions. Aameen !!
