Back in an age when marriage lasted a lifetime and divorce was not considered a failure of the marriage, but a failure of the self, a learned sheikh was approached by one of his students.
"Oh teacher, we have noticed how your wife is so abusive of you. She has embarrassed you in public countless number of times and never loses an opportunity to insult you. How come you don't simply take your legitimate right and divorce her?"
After a brief moment of silence and deep thought, the teacher looked up at the student and gently responded."My son, if I were to divorce this woman, one of two things would occur. Either she would remain a single divorcee or she would get remarried. In the first case, she would become miserable and lonely and I do not wish to be the cause of her misery. In the second case, she would cause her new husband untold difficulty and I do not wish to be the cause of his misery. And so I have decided it best to take it upon myself to bear the burden of this misery.
He does not waste the reward of the doers of good' (9:120)

wow subhanallah.
salamunalaikum sis amira.
You know,I couldn't control my tears when i read it for the first time.
How great and awesome our scholars were. How high there thinking was.
If i were in his place i would surely have said, "It would have been better to live alone than to have such spouse".
mashallah brother,
you have an amazing blog.
the quotes on the right of the page are really tear-provoking.
Subhannallah! u r right brother Ahmed, if i had a husband like that , i would definitely rather live alone! Mashallah!

May be, there may be atleast one if not few.You know Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible.
Subhanallah. Nice post and nice blog. Where do you get the things you share on this blog from? And is it okay if I save and share the posts, quotes, and pictures/graphics you have on here? Also, some of the quotes are by "Voice of love". What is that? Is it a book or something? Mashallah, the quotes are very nice.
@Anonymous~ Jazakallahu ahsanal jaza for coming here, for complimening and for asking few things which were never asked by anyone before.
Frankly speaking,I get few beautiful things from web when i search for something else and im poor in remembering the authentic sources, few are mine, few are from beautiful islamic books, few are of unkown source and few are from mixed source i.e i modify some sayings of non muslim's in an islamic perspective.
Saving everything and sharing the same would be no less than a favour upon me.Do whatever you wish and however you wish .
There is only one such quote by voice of love if Im not wrong. You know some people use such names instead of their identity.I don't know the reality whether it's a book or a magazine, just a real experience of a person who experienced it and i know not his name nor his biography.
Amazing keep going ;"
@ iona ~inshallah i will. shukran for dropping by.
really nice
@samsad jahan~ welcome here. thank you for reading and commenting.
Dear bro,
O You, The Mighty Creator of all Souls! Give me a Sweet Soul Mate. O You, who is eternal and absolute and who has no partner at all, provide me with a pious partner....And indeed he is the best of providers.(Qur'an 34:39)
The correct one goes like this:
Say: Lo! my Lord enlargeth the provision for whom He will of His bondmen, and narroweth (it) for him. And whatsoever ye spend (for good) He replaceth it. And He is the Best of Providers. (34:39)
Only the last sentence is correct. I feel it is a bit misleading.
dear anonymous,I Agree cent percent with all that you have said. Thanks for your feed back and for your view point.I appreciate too, for letting me know your concern.
