She Fled To Paradise

Sharing with you all an amazing and beautiful real story which i read in a book recently written by Aminah elahi entitled 'Patience' but in my own weak words.

A pious muslim family hired a non muslim maid who was almost alone in this world. She had no siblings, her parents passed away and she too was left unmarried as she was not mature enough to get married off.The master of the maid was very kind and generous. He alloted a room for her to live peacefully in his big and beautiful house. The little maid was very sweet in appearance, beautiful in her thoughts, sincere in her work and hopeful about her future. She lived and worked for this muslim family happily. As time passed by, her maturity and intellectuality increased and she one day fell in love with Islam.By Allah's grace and also due to the family's preaching she became a beautiful muslima. They taught her all the basics and fundamentals, they taught her about the daily prayers,to recite Qur'an correctly,to fast during ramadan and few supplications too.She kept practising these acts of worship regularly and sincerely apart from her service to the family as a muslim maid.

After few years she grew in to a fine young muslim girl. Her master decided to marry her to a pious man,But Allah(swt) planned something better for her.One day she fell sick and her sickness prolonged without any signs of relief. The family fearing that may be her time of departure from this world is near, they requested her to recite the kalima-e-tayyib.To thier surprise, she stared in to thier eyes with a smile and said 'Should I recite what you are saying or what they are saying? They asked in amazement:"Who are saying and what?" She replied:The angels are reciting to me : (It will be said to the pious): "O (you) the one in (complete) rest and satisfaction!"Come back to your Lord, Well-pleased (yourself) and well-pleasing unto Him!
"Enter you, then, among My honoured slaves,
"And enter you My Paradise!" (Quran 89:27-30)Then she said the kalima-e-tayyib too and closed her eyes and never opened again. That is to say she fled to paradise, leaving them(family members) in an emotional state of joy and sorrow.

I think they may have said to themselves within themselves: Aaah! 'How better it would have been if I was in her place'.

As salaamu alaikum akhi - what a beautiful and touching story. As Sr. Amira says, let us pray and hope that we all too can say the kalima without any hesitation and with full sincerity when we know death is approaching us. Ameen.

Jazak'Allahu Khairan bro.
